Firmware Development
Embedded systems require a specialized software architecture focusing on tightly written code, a strong knowledge of embedded peripherals and digital communication protocols, and an overall design approach much different than that of most other programming languages or targets. Edwards Research Corporation has extensive experience in firmware development for many target processors, including Atmel AVRs, Microchip PIC16, PIC18 and their newest offering PIC32 series microcontrollers, and the Freescale HCS08 and S12 family.

Complete Hardware Solutions
Edwards Research Group has extensive hardware design experience, specifically experience designing custom-spec embedded systems. We have interfaced with a myriad of peripherials from your standard home PC to 802.15.4 radios and 10/100 Base-T ethernet controllers. We have designed everything from wireless sensor motes to custom multi-channel data acquisition units with programmable signal conditioning. We have extensive experience with multi-layer PCBs, SMT design, and DFM.
